The Insight
TalkTalk needed stronger branded impact to stand out in a crowded category, appeal to a younger audience, and better express its challenger persona without relying on spend.

The Idea
We built the identity around a bolder colour palette, TalkTalk Display a bespoke typeface by Dalton Maag, and a modular illustration system. The result is a sharper, more ownable brand with flexibility across multiple touchpoints.

TalkTalk needed a visual revamp that could do more than refresh the brand, it had to create real branded impact. The challenge was to help TalkTalk stand out in a crowded telecom market, appeal to a younger audience, and better express its challenger persona without relying on bigger spend.
We built the system around a bolder colour palette, TalkTalk Display developed with Dalton Maag, and a modular illustration system. Electric Green and vibrant Pink injected energy, vitality, and playfulness into the brand, giving it a bolder and more rebellious edge. TalkTalk Display’s unusual proportions and contrasting forms gave the brand a sharper typographic voice and helped define the wider visual language, while the illustration system created with Bulma gave it room to flex across touchpoints without losing consistency.
I led the visual identity across colour, logo, type, and illustration, and presented the work to senior stakeholders, including TalkTalk’s CEO.
