A personal editorial concept exploring the complex, layered identity of Brazil beyond tropical clichés.

Brazil is often romanticized through superficial tropes of beaches and samba, masking a deeper history shaped by social and political contrast. Made in Brasil is a self-initiated editorial project offering a more honest, multi-dimensional portrait of the country’s resilience and cultural tension. Inspired by the 1968 anti-dictatorship Tropicália movement, I built a visual narrative that pairs archival imagery with expressive typography and layered compositions. Steering the project from concept to final print specification across editorial design, curation, and art direction, this visual manifesto honors the friction between beauty, chaos, celebration, and resistance.
